Finding Meaning

Today I observe the sky, loving relationships, true courage, and a simple task fulfilled. What does this all mean? In our lives, we sometimes find ourselves doing things for the wrong reasons, or worse – no reason. But in all our actions we can find purpose, and in all we do we can find meaning. This tells of motivations which are derived from our heart, of actions and outcomes which spring from our soul. We can begin by taking the simple acts of a day and turning them into a lesson, or a gift, or service toward another. We can begin thinking about what drives us. We can look at ourselves and ask, “Do I walk with purpose?” “Are my actions aligned with my intentions?” “Do I send out to the world something meaningful and positive?”

Even in the simple daily act of living we can find meaning, once we realize there is a greater purpose for us being here than what we see. A very wise young man told me recently,

“There is more than what we see or hear or understand. There is more, so much more.”

I’ve found such great wisdom and beauty in his simple words to me. And I know he’s right. There is meaning in everything we do. There is meaning in all we say. There is meaning in every breath we take. I feel it in my soul.

There is truly so much more…
