Light of Humankind

Only a few days until Christmas, lights are strung, trees aglow, cheer abundant in our hearts and homes… Amidst the magic of this beautiful season, an even more magical element exists in the souls of humankind. It is a light, a flicker of divinity so bright it dispels all of the darkness which threatens to keep us down. It is a flame of holiness which burns constant, hidden away in the realms of spirit unseen by most but which makes its presence known by the small, simple acts of kindness being rendered each day among our fellowmen. This light lives within every life form on the planet, bestowed by a heavenly parent who is but a breath away, watching over with a perfect love, a deep compassion, and even a delightful sense of humor. We grow this light within us by our words, actions, even our thoughts – feeding the flame with every positive impulse and every soul-born inspiration that we choose to act upon. The lights rises unseen from our skin, piercing the air around us and moving outward to touch the light in others, creating a kaleidescope of light energy and infusing our sphere with power.

In a rare moment of clarity we can sense this light energy, not only within ourselves but also within our fellowman. And when we do, we are brought to a remembrance of our true identity – as spirit beings on a temporary leave from our heavenly home, here to learn and grow and progress. Here to share and love and give. Here to experience – both the good and the bad. Here to live in the light.
